Chyon Booth BSc MSpPath CPSP

Senior Speech Pathologist

Having completed a Masters of Speech Pathology in 2018, Chyon has continued to build her specialist skill set and experience to make a difference to adults with swallowing and communication difficulties. Working with South Australia Health in rehabilitation and brain injury has affirmed Chyon’s interest in working in adult rehabilitation and in advocating for the provision of Speech Pathology services. Chyon’s bachelor degree in special education positions her skill set well to provide intervention to adult clients with a developmental disability. Chyon brings a wealth of previous employment experiences across Education and Human Resources. She brings life experience, compassion, and integrity to her role in ensuring optimal client care and service provision and is an absolute asset to our team. She also happens to be a thoroughly excellent human.

Laura Thompson BSc MSpPath CPSP
Director and Principal Speech Pathologist

Laura is a certified Speech Pathologist with 12 years’ experience working exclusively with adults. After graduating with a master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology in 2012, Laura has held senior clinical positions across tertiary teaching hospitals in London, Perth and more recently Sydney. Laura has developed invaluable clinical experience covering ICU, Emergency Departments, Head and Neck Oncology, Aged Care, Respiratory, Cardiology, Neurology and Rehabilitation caseloads. Laura is also employed as sessional academic staff at Australian Catholic University (ACU) and has held Professional Practice Educator roles at Sydney University and ACU.

Laura has developed high skilled knowledge in the clinical areas of Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury, Primary Progressive Aphasia, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurones Disease, Dementia, Voice and Dysphagia.

She is considered a clinical lead in acquired Aphasias, Neurodegenerative Diseases, Voice disorders and Dysphagia.

Laura is a published clinician and has presented her own clinical research and projects on identity renegotiation and quality of life post stroke at state level and international forums and conferences. She is LSVT LOUD©️, voice craft certified, Videoflurosocopy (Modified Barium Swallow) competent. Laura loves what she does and works with a smile.
